Yousef's letter of motivation

Dear Sir or Madam,
I hereby apply for your Care Concept Scholarship for Refugees. My biography: I was born on 05.04.1998 in Edlib/Syria. My father is a prosecutor by profession, my mother is a trained tailor and has taught at a vocational school. She has been retired since 2017. I have one brother and two sisters. My 30 year old brother fled to Denmark in 2013 because of the threatening situation in our home country and is employed there. One sister, married, lives with her family in our town of origin. She is a teacher by profession and runs a school. The other sister, also married, lives with her family in Lebanon. She is a trained dental technician. My family is of Muslim faith. I was raised according to the peaceful rules of the Koran. I myself fled in 2015. I lived in a refugee shelter in Berlin for the first three years. Very quickly I learned the German language and after one year I attended the OSZ, Max-Bill-Schule, where I successfully passed my Abitur in June 2019 with an average grade of 2.7. Since October 2019, I have been studying electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences. So far, I have successfully passed all required exams. I will probably write my bachelor's thesis in the coming winter semester. A Syrian friend has given me the opportunity to live in the house of a doctor in a granny apartment. He is the founder and chairman of the charitable association "Social Integration of People with Disabilities". This association has living and employment offers in Berlin and Brandenburg for humans with an intelligence reduction, which show with a psychiatric Komobilität serious behavioral abnormalities. In this association, my uncle has been working as a caregiver for several years. Since 2018, I am active in this association as a volunteer caregiver. Through this activity, I have a close contact not only with the people with disabilities, but also with many German-speaking colleagues. Through a variety of contacts with my fellow students, I have the opportunity to integrate myself in both social and academic spheres. Values such as willingness to perform, social commitment and honest, trusting contacts with people are very important to me. I have a high affinity to the IT sector and a good competence due to my studies there. Ecological aspects are already very important to me for my later professional life. I have a very wide circle of friends, which I like to cultivate personally. Especially corona-conditioned these contacts run for two years largely via social media, of which I use quite primarily Instagram. With best regards
