Care Concept Welcome to Germany Stipendium - Karolinas fourth report: Exam period

OPUpcoming exam period

My fourth month of the summer semester in Bonn has been very busy. Most of my time has been dedicated to studying, since the final exams are quickly approaching. My first test is on the 23rd of July and I am hoping that it will go well. The exams will also take place in August, so this summer is going to be quite hectic.

I am still going to have practicals in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery for one week and I am very much looking forward to those. They will be my last hospital experience this semester and it made me realize that my time in Germany is slowly coming to an end.

Bonn AltstadtLiving in Bonn

Now there have been even further relaxations of the rules with regards to the covid-19 pandemic. I could enjoy visiting some new restaurants in Bonn and the nearby Cologne. There have been several heatwaves, so I had to invest in a fan, however the weather is also perfect for going out and sitting on the beaches of Beuel, just by the Rhine river in Bonn

One evening I even managed to go to a karaoke event with my friends. We heard some of the German songs for the first time in our lives, so it was definitely a great and new experience. During the past month we also enjoyed watching the football Euro 2020 Cup matches together and visited several places in the region of Altstadt in Bonn.

University BonnFuture prospects

In the upcoming months I will have to focus on studying a lot for my exams, as these are quickly approaching, however during my breaks I still hope to visit even more places in Bonn and nearby. After my exams are over, I will hopefully be able to travel a bit, maybe even to the neighboring Netherlands, if possible.
