First month in Germany
I can’t believe it has been one month already since my dream became true. Exactly one month after my income, my friends took me to a traditional German food restaurant to celebrate my first month in Germany. I tried the delicious Münchner Schnitzel, potato salad and Sauerkraut for the first time. I can say by now that it definitely is one of my favorite dishes so far. Spending time with my friends on that important day made it even more special.
Trip to Ehrwald, Austria
I consider myself a passionate adventurer. Visiting the mountains in Austria was one of the remarks of my trip so far. Seeing the combination of mountains and lakes is simply something I always dreamed of. In my country, I didn’t have the opportunity to see those kinds of landscapes. Added to this, it was my first time hiking a mountain this high. I can say that it was definitely a challenge for me, but the view was definitely worth it. Words are insufficient to let you know how beautiful the clear skies along with the beautiful blue colors of the water looked that day.
Museums in Munich
I am passionate about cultures and history. Munich is such a diverse city with a lot of interesting museums to visit. Whenever I have free time from the University, I spend my days visiting museums. So far, my favorite is this one, Residenz, in central Munich. It is a stunning building; a royal palace with beautiful structures and thematic rooms. The decorations, architecture and arrangements of the rooms are something I found striking. My highlight of this visit was the hall of antiques, a large room with sculptures and paintings. Besides the beauty of the room, an emotional moment for me was listening to a musician playing the cello in such a beautiful ambience. I enjoyed every single minute of my visit in this palace.
Trip to Vienna
Coronavirus times can be difficult. One of the things that I was looking forward to before arriving to Europe, was visiting one of my best friends in Vienna. I planned this trip to visit him in advance. Nevertheless, cases of Coronavirus went up, putting Austria into quarantine. I was sad to hear this news because we already planned the places we wanted to visit, the museums we wanted to see and the food we wanted to try. After thinking a lot about it, I decided going even though I wasn’t going to be able to experience the city at its best. I don’t regret my decision because I got the opportunity to see this beautiful city from its outsides and see my friend after a long time without seeing each other. Architecture in Vienna is spectacular, and Kaiserschmarrn, as seen in the picture is one of the best desserts I have tried in my life. I definitely am looking forward to visiting Vienna again.
