Beyza's letter of motivation

To Whom May It Concern;
The reason why I am writing this letter is that I believe I can be the best fit for this scholarship. I’m Beyza Gündüz and I’m a newly graduated Psychologist and experiential learning trainer. I’m from Turkey and I’m on my way to Germany to continue my studies in MSc Psychology: Learning Sciences at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (LMU).
Though I wasn’t sure at the beginning, the more I looked into it the more I see that this program is all I can ask for! One thing that you may also want to learn about me is, I’m a nomad and I always have the urge to travel, maybe because of that and I feel fulfilled that I’m going to Germany for my studies. As I’m starting my new journey, I’ll unpack my last journeys that lead me this way because Beyza from the first year of university couldn’t believe where I’m at right now.
I grew up with a teacher mother who taught me to be good to humans, animals, and plants; basically, everything that is living. So it is not that surprising that I attended so many associations to work voluntarily. Including volunteering at the Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, the Red Crescent during the time of 2023 earthquake in Turkey, the Turkish Alzheimer Association as a volunteer interpreter at an Erasmus+ Project, the Turkish Psychology Students Working Group as a Leader of the Social Responsibility Team and so on. I used every chance that I could be helpful as a trainer and a psychology student. After I attended Train the Trainer Summer School, I gave so much training in schools and student unions just to develop myself and others as well.
I participated in Erasmus+ Projects in Italy, Turkey, and Austria. I’m planning to attend more and give back everything that I learned. I believe this kind of balance of giving and taking. I am sincerely needing this scholarship that you offer and promise you to share my knowledge, growth, and someday the money that I earn rightfully.
Currently, I'm starting to work in Social Development Lab at LMU before even going there. Before this, when I was at my bachelor's, I worked in 3 labs in my home school which is Ege University, and attended Summer Research School in Koç University and continued to work there for a year.
My main area of interest is Cognitive Development and I worked so many projects including 'SDG for Kids Intervention Program' that includes all of the kindergartens of İzmir Municipality. If you asked someone from outside, they all would describe me as if I’m a different person because though I’m a nerd student, I also worked in pubs and festivals to earn my money.
I sing, I dance and I love to travel. That is why I believe I can be the person that can represent a student who is active in every area of a student can be and be creative about it, in a sense that an experiential learning trainer would be!
