Application in Austria

Bewerbung Studium in Österreich If you meet all the requirements and would like to apply for the degree program of your choice, make sure you meet the deadlines for the respective semester. If you would like to start in the summer semester, the application deadline is at the beginning of February. For the winter semester, the deadline is at the beginning of September. Most universities allow you to submit your application online, but some prefer written applications. In this case, you should inform yourself in advance on the university's website.
You will usually need the following documents for your online application:

  • proof of general higher education entrance qualification or proof of university entrance qualification
  • a passport or ID card
  • a passport photo
  • proof of sufficient language skills, if applicable
  • proof that you have passed the entrance examination, if applicable

If your documents are in a foreign language, you must have them translated in advance by an officially certified translator.
