University life
This month I have dedicated myself completely to studying. Besides studying for the upcoming exams, I still have to finish protocols on the side. Although there have been further Corona relaxations, such as the possibility of face-to-face events at the universities, everything remains the same for me. All events, including labs, take place digitally. I actually find that better during exam time, because I save the time of driving to the university, which would take about an hour for me. A week ago, I had to register for exams without knowing whether they would be face-to-face or digital. I would like to know that much earlier so I can prepare for it. After all, you study differently for an exam depending on whether it's at the university or from home.
Enjoying some free time
I really only get out of the house at the moment when I have important errands to run or appointments like dentist appointments to keep. I use those moments when I'm out anyway to meet up with a friend for a little while longer and eat ice cream on the summer days. I try to keep myself distracted as little as possible though. This is very difficult for me because the weather is so nice and warm right now and there is some Corona loosening up now. I keep catching myself wandering off with my thoughts while studying and being somewhere else. I imagine myself doing nice things instead of sitting at my desk at home studying.
Wish for vacation
I would very much like to travel this year after the exam period. I haven't gone abroad since I've been in Germany, only within Germany to visit my relatives. That's more than six years. I have missed the sea very much. So slowly I feel that I'm reaching my limits and finally need a real vacation to regain my energy.
